GOOD THINGS
COME FROM WHEY.

Ours starts with mysa: the whey associated with Icelandic skyr-making. A familiar food. A less familiar liquid. An invitation to look again.

From milk to MYSA.

A familiar beginning. An unexpected next chapter.

Young farmer beside a dairy cow, holding a milk pail.

It all starts with real milk.

Before the fruit, before the flavor, there's milk. One familiar ingredient with a story that's only just beginning.

Then, a little culture changes everything.

Add live cultures, a little warmth, and time. Milk gradually transforms into a thick, tangy cultured dairy base.

This describes dairy culturing, not a claim of live cultures in the finished MYSA drink.

Two sides to the story.

Straining separates the thick cultured curd from the lighter liquid whey. One stays behind. The other is about to become something unexpected.

The curd stays. The whey has other plans. An arrow connects the curd in a strainer to the whey below.

The unexpected ingredient

Meet acid whey. Naturally tart, often overlooked, and the ingredient that inspired us to rethink what a dairy drink could be.

Here comes the bright part.

We take cultured whey and give it a fresh perspective. Water, fruit, botanicals, and thoughtfully chosen flavors turn an overlooked ingredient into something refreshingly different.

A visual introduction to cultured dairy and our proposed drink, not a verified MYSA manufacturing process. Inspired by Icelandic mysa; our modern flavors are a new chapter. Get to know whey

Before it was new,
it was everyday.

In Iceland, the whey separated during skyr-making had a life of its own. Fermented into sýra, it helped preserve food. Diluted with water, it became an everyday drink.

MYSA takes inspiration from that resourceful idea: something overlooked can become something you look forward to.

Meet the tradition

The overlooked.
Reconsidered.

Strained dairy-making separates a thick curd from a liquid stream. Modern producers have found many uses for whey, yet acid whey can still be difficult to put to work.

We’re developing MYSA around that opportunity: give cultured whey a new role, with a lightly tart flavor direction and honey, fruit and botanicals.

Our inspiration is Icelandic. Our ambition is a first release with New York in mind. Ingredient origins and production details will be shared before release; we don’t claim Icelandic manufacture or a measured environmental benefit.
